well not yet but close enough haha i am packing up now and going to get a few hours of sleep.. a little nap if you will and then up and off to the airport for a long day full of traveling! hope all goes well and they dont call me crazy for all the souvenirs i am smuggling home haha i just wanna blink and be home and not deal with all the travels but it will be soon enough! :))
i dont know what im most excited about but its a lot lol altho it was so hard to say good bye to people today after we got off the bus in Madrid :( gonna miss these people, they rock!

translation: Hello my family! It is close to the end and my return home to USA. Are you excited?!
obvi that was a rhetorical question. we all know you cant wait to see me again ;) lol bromas (jokes)
anyway, just FINISHED school here!! super excited about that :))) feels good! last full day in Madrid tho so thats sad :((( we leave early tomorrow morning for Granada and then Toledo coming back here Sunday night to pack and fly out early Monday morning. its gonna be hectic and lots of emotions all wrapped up into one. I am so excited to be home and back in the best country ever. but i do not wanna leave Spain at the same time. and i def do not wanna leave all these people :( we have been forced to spend every single day together and they are some of the coolest people ive met. it will be sad to say goodbye and go our seperate ways. they have made this trip so much better for me!

La Corrida de Torros-Bull Fight
I'd like to preface this blog with a :
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! Happy birthday to the best country evs.
Also, ONE WEEK. in exactly one week and about 4 hours i will be landed in Indy! crazy to think about.
Anyway as for now, we are trying to wrap everything up here in Madrid. As you know i went to Rastro yesterday morning for some last cheap shopping. didnt end up getting to much BUUUUUT got one, well four, of the most amazing things ever. I cannot even describe it. just be super excited to see it once im home and also to be annoyed pretty quickly haha it is a typical Abby item and you all wont be surprised lol sorry for the tease tho! haha i was super excited with that purchase and then we left and stopped by the restaurant for extra credit. it was pretty but everything was expensive. since i hadnt had breakfast and we had been shopping and walking for a while we were all hungry. we ended up stopping in KFC right by the metro stop to get a snack haha ops. i got this chicken wrap thing with lettuce and some weird spicy sauce. it was good tho! the kfc menu is a little different here but nonetheless still american food haha we went home and i took a long nap before preparing for the bull fight i was about to go to lol the bull fight was at 830 and luckily it is literally two minutes from our place..on the same street even! to sum it up..it was an experience, to say the least. cant believe people can do that for entertainment. but it was cool to see. definitely is a once is good type thing tho lol ill explain to you all it in detail if you want but will spare the details for now. I have a ton of pictures and videos as well. some get pretty gore-y tho. it was bad at times. glad i went tho! after that we came home and at dinner (altho wasnt to hungry and literally couldnt use a knife lol) and did some school work and went to bed. Today we had class and then have been doing school work and napping but are planning to go shopping soon with Gabriela, the girl who works for our school but is part of our program and from America. she should hate us by now because we have been a pain in her ass haha but for some reason (maybe because she is getting paid) she hasnt began to hate us lol she offered to take us shopping around the area to show us the good places and whatnot. im excited! idk what else really. ill talk to you guys later and see you in one week!

Salido, exito, a dia.
Hellllllo :)
Yesterday night a whole bunch of people from my group went and saw transformers at a theater here. I decided not to go and to stay in and be productive. and i did just that!! :) got all my papers done, some souvenir organizing, pictures and even watch the season finale of real world from the DVD mom sent me! :) it was a great night. lol
Today we went on an excursion to a place in Spain called Alcala de Henares. parts were cool, but overall it was kind of a waste of a day because we all have so much left to do in madrid before we leave and we spent a lot of time here just wasted because our museums and sites werent open. it was kinda poorly planned. but oh well! now we are back home about to eat and get ready for our last night in Madrid. Josh, the graduate student that is in charge, is having people over to his place so that should be fun! and we are talking about going to the ice bar after that! im excited! :)

I GOT MY PHONE!!
For all of you who know or care.. I FINALLY GOT MY PHONE!! thank the Lord!!! Spain was being a total bitch not letting it in. annoying. but after emailing them my life story and my mom stalking them on the phone every ten seconds they got a little sick of us most likely and just said fuck it and let it in. anyway, idc how i got it lol i just care that i got it. it was a looooong sad 7 days iPhone-less lol it should be illegal. i am in the process of restoring it now! hopefully all goes smoothly!! ahhhh. anyways not much else to report here, that was the major news anyway. writing some papers and planning our last days in Madrid currently. nothing more really. pretty sure we are going to this place tonight called Las Chapandaz, its a cave bar. so literally the inside looks like a cave. we here its sweet! and they have a drink called panthers milk that comes from the ceiling like out of the cave. hopefully we can do that :) oh also, fun story here. saw a lady peeing outside standing up by a bench yesterday. that was scarring. she was ohh around 50-60, wearing a skirt and just standing next to a bench WITH PEOPLE ON IT just letting it out. i was literally starring at her like "are you nuts" like this is not happening right now. but ohhh it was. NOT TO MENTION, there is a WC=water closet=bathroom outside lol no more than 10 feet away!! and i will give the lady that its hard to find bathrooms here. and even harder to find ones that you dont have to pay or buy something. and with toilet paper. ill give her that buuuuut still, that does not mean it is acceptable to just spread your legs and pee in public. not okay. then she proceeds to sit on the bench afterwards like nothing happened. had i known about it or been able to think straight i wish i would have captured a picture or video..but i was in.shock. haha i did however capture a picture of the stain, because oh yes there is a urine stain from her that we have to pass on the daily. bringing back the horrible memories haha here it is tho:

Hello :)
NOT MUCH HAS BEEN GOING ON HERE REALLY. JUST TRYING TO DEAL WITH MY PHONE WHICH HAS BEEN A PAIN IN THE ASS :( AND DEAL WITH SCHOOL. THEY ARE LOADING US DOWN WITH WORK SINCE ITS NEARING THE END. BUT SO NOT FAIR BECAUSE ALL WE WANNA DO IS HANG OUT TOGETHER AND LIVE IT UP IN MADRID FOR OUR LAST WEEK AND A HALF. THE LAST THING WE WANNA DO IS STUDY OR WRITE PAPERS! OBVI. LOL WE HAVE TWO PAPERS FOR OUR FOOD CLASS, ONE OVER A FOOD TOPIC AND THE OTHER OVER WHAT ALL WE HAVE LEARNED IN THE CLASS. BOTH HAVE TO BE THREE PAGES, THATLL BE KIND OF HARD TO WRITE THREE PAGES FOR BOTH, IN SPANISH OF COURSE HAHA AND FOR OUR OTHER CLASS WITH ART, WE HAD ONE EXAM ALREADY WHICH WAS SUPER HARD AND WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE COMING UP NEXT THURSDAY ON THE LAST DAY OF CLASS. WE ALSO HAVE A PAPER IN THAT CLASS FOR EXTRA CREDIT THAT I AM OBVIOUSLY DOING IF YOU KNOW ME AT ALL YOUD KNOW THAT HAHA SO THERES ALL THAT..PLUS THERE ARE STILL A TON OF PLACES HERE WE REALLY WANT TO GO TO THAT WE ARE TRYING TO SQUEEZE IN! BASICALLY WE ARE REALLY BUSY AND THESE LAST TWO-ISH WEEKS ARE GONNA FLY. THEN ILL BE HOME!! :) BACK IN AMERICA WHERE THINGS ARE NORMAL HAHA TO ME ANYWAY LOL ME AND TRICIA WERE MAKING A LIST TODAY OF ALL THE FOOD PLACES WE MISS AND WANNA GO TO THE FIRST COUPLE DAYS HOME...ANNDDDDD SORRY IN ADVANCE TO MY FAMILY. OBVI MY LIST IS LIKE 17 PAGES LONG HAHA I STILL HAVE TO GET ALL MY SOUVENIRS IN ORDER AND BUY ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO. SO BASICALLY I HAVE A LOT PLANNED FOR OUR LAST WEEKEND HERE IN MADRID! Barcelonaaaa
Hola hola hola!
This weekend was a long weekend for the holiday for San Juan here. a big group of us went to Barcelona as you know! We left Wednesday night after a long day of cramming and then our first test in our art class...the test was hard and afterwards I was so ready for a vacation! haha the trip was amazing besides thet fact that i got my iPhone stolen on the first night :(((((( it happened in a blink of the eye, the people there are good at it. i now know the absolute WORST feeling in the eniter world is being robbed. it sucks! luckily i have the best family in the world and they are shipping me my sister iPhone 4 so i will still be able to communicate with them for the remainder of my time in Spain! :) HOWEVER, i am currently back in Madrid and dealing with their annoying pain in the ass post office who will not let my package into the country because it has food? and is a new iPhone? idk i cant understand the system or the people when they talk super fast in strong accented spanish. the language barrier is really killing me in a time like this! hopefully by the end of the week i can get the iPhone and be happy again lol if not, i will really be screwed for the rest of the trip talking to my family and then on the trip back with no music and then no phone when i land in the states...yikes :/ pray for me, please! haha other that that things are good here. the weather is unbearable considering it is over 100 degrees F and they dont believe in AC or fans here haha you are constantly hot and always wanting to take an ice bath lol i found this is the only time when i actually want to shower lol ;) bc it feels so good to take ice cold showers! we only have two more weeks left here! bittersweet. this weekend we are staying in Madrid for our last weekend here and then next weekend is the end of the program trip to Granada and Toledo Spain. thatll be fun! :) ill attach some pictures of barcelona from this past weekend!
